French Onion Sliders

Ingredients

12 City Slider Buns 
4 tablespoons of saled Butter 
2 large sweet yellow onions, halved then thinly sliced
1 pound of ground beef 
2 tablespoons of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce 
2 tablespoons beef bouillon 
3 tablespoons of flour
2 tablespoons Everything Bagel seasoning 
Salt 
Pepper 

 

Instructions 

Caramelize the onions- Slice onions thinly (about ¼ inch thick), and cooking in a large cast iron or heavy-bottomed skillet for about 20 minutes over low heat with butter, using salt to help draw out the moisture in the onions. The first 10 minutes or so the onions become soft and translucent, then they begin to turn a yellow/light brown as they caramelize.  

Add the ground beef and cook it alongside the onions, careful not to let the onions burn. Next drain the excess grease from the ground beef and add the flour in preparation for the sauce.

Add the worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, beef bouillon and salt & pepper. It needs to simmer for a few minutes to thicken up and then it's ready to spread across the sliced rolls. 

Glaze with butter and everything bagel seasoning to brush over the tops of the rolls before popping them in the oven.

Bake in oven until cheese melts.

Serve immediately.
